The harbour walls of Beadnell were built in the 1790’s where the lime kilns of that date still remain. There are some excellent sandy beaches and safe yachting in the wide Beadnell Bay. Some of the best sailing on the Northumberland coast is from here. The village provides the usual small shops and a good selection of eating places. This is one of the most popular holiday villages on the coast.
