Vast dunes stretch along the length of Druridge Bay behind a beautiful expanse of sandy beach. The country park has a lake, a refuge for wild fowl in the winter months, and a home for watersports enthusiasts in the summer. Birds, especially wildfowl, can be observed from hides in the Wildlife Trust Reserve and indeed from all along this coastline. Cresswell is an historic seaside village, with its peel tower, beautiful sandy beaches, rock pools and Cresswell Pond, a delight for ornithologists throughout the year.
